Unwinding patterns of tension held throughout the body.

Craniosacral adjusting is a gentle, specific chiropractic approach that focuses on the natural movement of the skull, spine, sacrum, and the tissues that connect them.

Because these structures surround and protect the brain and spinal cord, tension in this system can affect the way you settle, move, recover, and respond to stress.

Craniosacral Chiropractic Care

A gentle approach for every age

BABIES

Birth and early life ask a lot of a baby’s developing body. Gentle cranial and sacral care may be used as part of chiropractic care for babies who seem tense, uncomfortable, difficult to settle, or who show feeding-related tension patterns.

CHILDREN & TEENS

As children grow, tension patterns can affect how they move, rest, and adapt to everyday demands. CranioSacral adjusting offers a gentle way to support the head, jaw, neck, spine, and whole body during these important years.

ADULTS

For adults, tension may show up as jaw tightness, headaches, neck discomfort, or the feeling that the body has a hard time fully relaxing. CranioSacral adjusting may be part of care for mothers carrying the physical demands of pregnancy, birth recovery, feeding, and daily life, as well as adults with long-standing stress or tension patterns.

Tension patterns

Tension patterns can begin early in life or develop over time.

For a baby, they may be connected to positioning during pregnancy or the physical demands of birth. For a child or adult, they may develop after injuries, orthodontic or dental changes, repetitive strain, ongoing stress, or long-held posture patterns.

Sometimes those patterns are easy to recognize. Other times, you simply notice that your body—or your baby’s body—has a hard time fully settling or moving with ease.

Craniosacral adjusting uses light, precise contacts to assess and address areas of restriction or imbalance involving the cranial bones, spine, sacrum, and surrounding tissues.

The amount of force used is very gentle. but the changes can be felt throughout the entire body as the tension unwinds.

Why this matters for your nervous system

Your nervous system helps you process information, respond to stress, coordinate movement, and adapt to the demands of daily life.

When tension patterns are present in the structures surrounding the brain and spinal cord, your body may have to work harder to adapt.

Through gentle, specific care, we support better movement and less stress in the system so your body has a stronger foundation for healing and healthy function. Our goal is to support how you function overall, with changes in comfort, settling, regulation, or recovery often becoming part of that process.

"Before behavior changes, before symptoms show, the nervous system shifts. That’s where our work begins."
