Meet our Team
Dr. Daniel Hackney
Doctor of Chiropractic
Hey guys! I’m Dr. Daniel! I was first introduced to chiropractic as a teenager when I was experiencing anxiety and obsessive compulsive tendencies. A family friend suggested I might be helped through chiropractic. I thought that was ridiculous since my understanding of chiropractic was neck pain, back pain and headaches as I’m sure most people think. But, chiropractic does not treat the condition, instead it helps align the body in a way that removes interference in the nervous system allowing the body to express itself the way it’s designed. Chiropractic helped my body function better and as a result the anxiety and OCD tendencies improved. I truly felt like my chiropractors gave me my life back and inspired me to help others do the same!
When we first opened our practice, I saw the guys and Dr. Josiah saw all the mamas and babies. When she became pregnant with our first baby, she said I had to get the Webster certification or she would go see another chiropractor who was certified. I didn’t see what the big deal was with Webster but I wanted to take care of her through her pregnancy so I attended, reluctantly. Dr. Jeannie Ohm had a fiery passion for prenatal and pediatric chiropractic that ignited something in me I didn’t know I had. After attending the Webster training my focus was changed FOREVER. Learning from Dr. Ohm was as life changing for me as when my first chiropractors helped me to gain my life back.
When we are not caring for families together in the clinic, we are home with our own. As Chef BoyarDan, I love to make breakfast, play a fun game with the kids where I pretend (doesn’t take much pretending - if you’re a parent, you get it) to be tired and they cover me with blankets, and on the weekends you can usually find our family at the farmers market.
Dr. Josiah Hackney
Doctor of Chiropractic
Hello! I'm Dr. Josiah! My whole life changed when I was 16 and had my first visit to the chiropractor because I was experiencing chronic daily headaches. Chiropractic was the only thing that gave me relief and hope, and I knew I wanted to help others be better supported to enjoy their lives. What I didn't know is that I was going to meet a guy at Parker College of Chiropractic who would one day be my husband, father to our daughters, and partner in all things business and life!
While I love caring for everyone who comes through our door, my passion is mamas and babies, and so my education, Webster Certification and Schaefer Protocol training, and experience is caring for families from preconception through postpartum, and pediatrics from birth on.
I don't have a traditional 9-5 schedule, because I have four little girls at home who I plan my clinic time around. We like to dress up, sing the soundtrack from Frozen, and take care of alllll our baby dolls.
My name is Shelly and I joined the Hackney team in 2017 as the Office Manager, It's my job to oversee daily office operations, patient flow and patient experience. I am a Certified Chiropractic Assistant, have 25+ years of Customer Service experience and 5+ years in a Chiropractic office. I also happen to be an 'experienced baby holder’…which is one of the BEST perks of my job 💗. I’ve been personally under chiropractic care since I was a teenager, and absolutely LOVE caring for our sweet families.
I am originally from Choctaw and still visit most weekends to spend time with my family. I am a country girl at heart, love to cook, and have to say that I am most proud of my son, Timothy, because he’s a pretty awesome human being.
My name is Clare and I’m so excited to have joined the family at Hackney Chiropractic!
Health and wellness has been a big part of my life and getting to see people’s lives changed through chiropractic care is a gift. I am passionate about all things birth, babies, and family— which makes the clinic an extra exciting place, because there is an abundance of all three! At the front desk, I get to greet and communicate with patients, chat and play with the little ones, schedule appointments... among other things. Don’t be surprised if you see some (subpar) dance moves. I just can’t help myself, Shelly is a great DJ.
Some of the other hats I wear include but are not limited to: farm girl, gardener, fermentation enthusiast, photographer, daughter, sister, and friend. The outdoors is where I feel most at home and many days I find myself sitting in the grass with a book and a beverage.
My name is Alyssa and I’m happy to be a part of the Hackney Chiropractic team!
I love the fun, inviting, family and kid-centered environment here. I especially enjoy being a patient of the Hackneys as does my toddler daughter, Sadie. I am here in the office one day a week getting to greet patients, schedule appointments and assist the one-and-only awesome Shelly.
The other days of the week I am blessed to be a stay at home mom. As a hobby/side job I enjoy photography. My husband, daughter and I enjoy spending time together and being outdoors.
Hi there! I’m Meghan, and I’m so excited to join the Hackney Chiropractic team!
I started my chiropractic journey in 2016, after struggling with fertility. Since starting chiropractic care, we have welcomed two kiddos that you can see running around Hackney Chiropractic every week!
I’m so excited to join this great team and connect with patients, adult and kids alike! I am giving Shelly a run for her money as Expert Baby Holder and get to hold all those babies, so that mamas can get a relaxing adjustment.
I am passionate about birth, chiropractic care, and postpartum care. As a mom of two, I know how much finding community in those postpartum days meant to me.
You can find me running around with the family enjoying the local parks and nature trails!
The Hackney Girls
Source of inspiration, frustration, and a whole lot of joy!
Hi! We're Zoe, Evie, Hannah and Phoebe! We have been part of our family practice from the time we were in mommy's belly!
When we're at the clinic, you will no doubt receive a smile, high five, hug, or perhaps an unsolicited adjustment from us. If the right song is on, we also love to sing and dance.
We give our parents daily opportunities to learn patience and remember the importance of playing, and living in the moment.
